With TIME:OUT, ski legend Aksel Lund Svindal and Porsche’s Chief Designer Michael Mauer bring their shared freeride ski to the slopes - a project born from a mutual passion and the desire to take a creative time-out. The search for the perfect line - whether on snow or on paper - has connected the two for years.
TIME:OUT is the result of this connection: a ski that blends cutting-edge expertise from the worlds of automotive and ski design, authentically expressing the duo’s shared passion. WWP had the privilege of supporting this journey from the first idea to the final launch - conceptually, visually, and logistically. Over the course of more than a year, we worked closely with Porsche Design, Porsche, HEAD, and with Svindal and Mauer. Direction, editing, post-production, and the coordination of the launch were all in our hands.
The PORSCHE | HEAD 106 Series stands for technical precision, pure design, and sustainable materials such as flax and rattan. With TIME:OUT, we not only document the creation of an exceptional ski - we tell the story of a unique collaboration. It’s a story about how taking time out from everyday life became a space for creativity - and led to something lasting.
“Creativity thrives on inspiration and impulses - on conscious contrast to the everyday,” says Michael Mauer. Aksel Lund Svindal adds: “We like to take our time-out far from the beaten path - freeriding in remote places, without much technology, just relying on ourselves.”
