Slalom Star Lucas Pinheiro Braathen Enters Marketing Partnership with WWP-Group

The sports marketing agency WWP Weirather-Wenzel & Partner (WWP-Group) is now supporting another leading name in alpine winter sports. Lucas Pinheiro Braathen will be commercially advised and represented by the WWP-Group moving forward.

The 23-year-old Overall Slalom World Cup Champion (2022/23) retired from professional skiing in October last year but has remained closely connected to the sport through a range of projects and roles. The partnership was officially announced ahead of the 2024 Hahnenkamm Races – one of Braathen’s favourite events – in Kitzbühel, Austria.

Lucas Braathen:

“I’m really happy to have WWP-Group as a partner for commercial projects and ideas. WWP has a long-standing reputation for doing things differently in winter sports and for exploring new paths. As the marketing partner of the Hahnenkamm Races – one of my all-time favourite events during my career – I’m especially excited to be announcing our collaboration here in Kitzbühel.”

Mirjam Hummel-Ortner, Co-CEO of the WWP-Group:

“WWP’s journey began with the vision of taking athlete marketing to a new level. That idea still drives us today – and we’re thrilled to welcome another outstanding talent to the WWP athlete family. A very warm welcome to Lucas Braathen – we look forward to working together.”

Philipp Radel, Co-CEO of the WWP-Group:

“Lucas Pinheiro Braathen has already made a lasting impression on alpine skiing at a young age, bringing a new energy to the sport. He represents a new audience, a new mindset, and a new approach – not just in skiing, but across the entire sports landscape. That’s why we’re so excited to support him on his journey and collaborate on future initiatives in sponsorship and marketing.”

Athletes currently or previously represented by the WWP-Group include top names such as Tina Weirather, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, Aksel Lund Svindal, and Hannes Reichelt.
