Biathlon meets beats – global stars at the Loop One Festival in Munich
On 18th and 19th October, Munich's Olympic Park will become the venue for a very special sporting event: the first Loop One Festival will combine top-class international sport with an urban festival atmosphere.
Biathlon stars such as Franziska Preuß, Lou Jeanmonnot, Sturla Holm Lægreid, Quentin Fillon Maillet and many other nations will be competing at the official start of the IBU's season – a real highlight at the beginning of the Olympic season. The two-day festival presents biathlon in a compact, spectator-friendly format and offers an open programme for all generations – with junior and para competitions, interactive stations, street food, live music and festival vibes. Music acts such as Kamrad, Freude and Felicia Lu will be providing entertainment on stage.
Admission to the park is free, seats in the main grandstand on Sunday are subject to a charge. Munich is looking forward to a weekend that combines sport, music and community in a new way.
